Les Bauges is a choice massif for hiking, which is located between Haute-Savoie and Savoie and culminates at 2217 m at the top of the Arcalod. The massif was protected through the creation of the Massif des Bauges Regional Natural Park in 1995. Easily visible from Lake Annecy, Les Bauges offers magnificent views of the surrounding peaks and exhilarates hikers with the beauty of the slopes shaped by traditional dairy farming. The selection of hikes in the massif is quite wide as all walkers will find their benefit. Among the most famous peaks of the Bauges, we find in particular Arcalod, Pointe de la Sambuy, Pécloz, Trélod or Pointe de Chaurionde. Finally, wildlife lovers will find their happiness there as several species populate the massif, such as chamois, mouflons, marmots and wolves.
